Quest Urban Mission

June 23-29

Why?

When we think of mission trips, we often think of long-distance travel, but Jesus ministered to those He encountered in nearby cities. Following in the footsteps of Jesus, our High School students will have the opportunity to serve in Washington, D.C. this summer!

What?

Partnering with Apex Missions and Redemption Hill Church, students will experience our nation’s capital, as it is, unlike the tourist version that they’ve mostly seen. They will learn from Christian leaders who work on Capitol Hill and from organizations like International Justice Mission. They will serve in practical ways with people who are answering God’s call to meet the needs of the city. Church leaders, ministry partners, and Capitol Hill Interns serve as our guides as we explore issues of race, poverty, homelessness, and justice.

Who?

Students currently in 9th-12th grade were eligible to apply and will participate in this trip. We are not taking any more applicants at this time.

Lodging

We will be staying at Cornerstone EFCA in Annandale, VA. with separate areas for boys and girls to sleep as well as a designated meeting area for meals and group times.

Team Development

There are required pre-team meetings for team building, planning, and development before we leave. We will meet monthly starting in February with dates to be determined by the team’s availability. Each participant is encouraged to raise support for the trip through financial donors and prayer support. God has already people who are waiting to partner with you in this journey, both spiritually and financially. Participants will receive resources and coaching to build a mission support team.

Trip Cost

The total cost of the trip is $500 which includes transportation, accommodations, meals & team t-shirt.
