COVID-19 Volunteer Needs

Seneca Creek is a hub for Gaithersburg Cares, a city-wide initiative to serve our under-resourced neighbors who are quarantined at home with the coronavirus. We are collecting donations, packing, and delivering food and critical items to families battling the virus.

You can help by donating items listed below, by coming in to organize and pack the items for delivery, or driving your vehicle to make deliveries. Donations can be dropped off Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 13 Firstfield Road, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878.

We’re taking precautions to make sure the process is as safe as possible. This is a unique opportunity to love our neighbors at a time when they need us most.

Looking for a way to serve our neighbors in a meaningful, life-changing way? Many in our community need English language education and support. At Seneca Creek, we have a vibrant ESOL community with excellent and effective courses that put our adult students on the right path to understanding the language and therefore opening new doors of opportunity!

This fall, ESOL is searching for volunteers to serve as Teachers, Assistants, and other language speakers to assist with translation for the upcoming sessions. All ESOL classes will be done on-line via ZOOM. Training available, no prior experience required.
