Summer 2022 Internship Program: June 7 – July 31, 2022

For Young Adults Ages 18 – 24

The Seneca Creek Internship Program exists to raise up the next generation of Christian Leaders to serve world. Working side-by-side with the staff at Seneca Creek you will gain real-world experience and leadership development from a Christian perspective. Whether you are exploring ministry as a full-time vocation or planning a career in the marketplace a Seneca Creek internship will challenge and equip you to grow as a leader and a follower of Jesus.  

This program provides a unique opportunity to learn real-life ministry lessons and leadership principles to carry into ministry, a career, or life in general. You will see and experience practical ministry and learn about non-profit management while making a difference in the world. You will also have the opportunity for personal growth through the teaching of leadership principles and discipleship from our ministry staff. 

The program is tailored to your skills and stage of development providing opportunities to watch and learn, work and grow, or stretch and launch. From time management, project administration, volunteer coordination, to message preparation and worship planning, this program allows the participants to take their next steps in ministry and leadership. 

Choose up to 2 focus tracks from the following areas:

  • Hospitality & Community Service
  • Children’s Ministry
  • Student Ministry
  • Worship Ministry
  • Communication and Marketing
  • Technology and Production

You will be assigned a mentor to meet with weekly during the internship. This will help you develop as a follower of Christ, and build a positive relationship with the Seneca Creek Staff.

Each week you will be assigned required reading to discuss with your mentor. At the conclusion of the program, you will submit a report outlining what you took away from the readings, how it applies to ministry, and where you saw the principles at work during your internship experience.

You will work in multiple focus tracks depending on your interests, skills, and available options. The schedule will be mapped out in advance so that all participants (interns and staff) are informed and prepared to effectively collaborate.

Internships are part-time 25 hours per week and the work hours are typically scheduled Tuesday – Friday, and Sunday but may vary depending on your focus track. You will receive a $250 stipend per week and a letter of reference upon successful completion of the program.

Candidates must apply and be accepted to the program. Applications are due by May 20, 2022
